My daughter loves this series. This latest book is no exception. She read it within an hour of getting it and has been drawing characters from the book all evening.
I have a HUGE Dav Pilkey fan. This book lit up his world. I would say this is 2nd grade reading level but I'll continue to buy every Dav Pilkey book as long as he puts new ones out. If you're unfamiliar with this series it is much like the Cpatain Underpants series and more comic style than chapter book. These books are amazing at engaging young readers!
These are great books for 7-12 year olds! Impish (clean) humor and imagination, exhuberant energy. Dave is a master at engaging this age group...and bigger kids who wish Dave was publishing when we were in school...A step above Captain Underpants, the Dogman series are mirthful parodies of classic literature and media too many teachers render into bone dry tedious requirements.Every kid forced to sit in a chair for 8 hours every day (and their parents as well, lol) will appreciate these updated retellings and, when paired with the classics themselves, there’s a far higher likelihood the plot and “required†aspects will be remembered long after the books have been shelved.Humor works!
My son devoured this book. Dave Pilkey has really given my son a joy and excitement for reading. He picks up on the nuances life-lessons peppered throughout perfectly age-appropriate humor. He read it through the day we got it and has probably read it another three times.
Both of my sons, ages 7 and age, love this book and its previous 3 books in this series. They've read them over and over, at least 3 times. They cannot wait to take them to school after the winter break.
Capt. Underpants...you did it again! age 7 boys/girls both of my grandchildren loved this book for christmas... Although you will have read Books 1 - 3 before 4, to understand the continuing story line. Read - or have your children read to you great family time! Plus they will never forget quality time!
Dog Man is back in an all new dog man novel.Silly jokes and illistrations that make your mik come out of your nose!Dont forget al of our other stars!Of course we also have Lil Petey as Cat Kid,80 HD as Lightning Dude,Petey worlds evelist cat,Sarah Hattof as Purse Lady,Zuzu the poodle as Supa Fang,and Cheif as Cheif Man!I hope i didnt leave anyone out did I?Ok.Well speaking of people ,the most important person in this book and in E VERY book,its DAV PIKLEY!!!!!Many thanks to our beloved author Dav.If youre reading this Dav,make sure to keep the fun going and write more Dog Man books!HAPY READING!!!
