Don’t waste your money. Very disappointed. I try to do clean eating and most of recipes use canned mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, etc. if I am doing the Dash Diet I want to be honest with my in-take and change my diet in a healthy way not using Campbell soup which is known for high sodium.

This book does not seem to be a true DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) cookbook. Some of the recipes in this book have way too much sodium - one recipe, for example, has over 900 mg of sodium per serving! The American Heart Association recommends limiting sodium to 1500 mg per day to reduce hypertension.

This is NOT a carefully written and researched book. Errors are rampant and I can't believe that anyone who looks at it carefully would review it positively. It does NOT follow the guidelines of the DASH diet. It has many recipe errors as well. For example, on pages 100-101, Bean Soup lists onions and cilantro twice. It gives directions on what to do with 7 of the 11 ingredients listed. (It lets you guess what to do with the roma tomatoes, monterey jack cheese, diced avocado, etc.Also, because the fat and protein totals looked bogus, I check one recipe. It had over 22 grams of fat, not the 5 it listed and 19 grams of protein, not the 29 it listed.If you look at most of the positive reviews, they seem to be written by the same illiterate person. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK!!!

DASH diet is for the heart, eliminating processed foods and sodium and focusing on healthy "real" foods. This book does NOT support that. When I saw time after time ingredients like Cream of Mushroom Soup, Cheddar Cheese Soup, Onion Soup Mix, etc. All of these are high in sodium. All highly processed. THEN, add that this book clearly had no editor: typos, insufficient and inconsistent punctuation, poor blocking/spacing. It is a mess. I don't do dairy or gluten so I expect generic recipes to need adapting but when a diet is based on whole, non-processed foods, I expected just that. This is poorly done and will be donated to charity. It needs to leave my house as a reminder of money poorly spent.

Good selection of recipes for better health combined with the use of amazing companion in the kitchen, the Slow Cooker. Dash diet recipes helps regulate hypertension, it focuses upon the regular intake of different nutrients and reducing the intake of sodium which is really good to avoid hypertension attack. Dash diet is actually a great weight loss program that can be use for a long time.

This is one of the few products I have ordered from Amazon that I am disappointed with, there are many grammatical errors andthe way the recipes are structured on the page is different from most recipe books and some instructions just don't make sense,Most other crock pot recipes are prep, fill and let the crock do its thing, some of these recipes have multiple timed steps.Not a good introduction to crock pot cooking for a new or beginning crock pot user in my opinion...

I don't know who decided that canned soups, soy sauce, and pre-made ingredients were acceptable for low-sodium recipes, but they clearly don't know what they're talking about. There is no reason for something that is supposed to be sodium conscious to be 873.2 mg or 907.2 mg of sodium per serving! I'm returning this book, this is not worth the $6 they charge for this waste of paper. And most dairy that is fat-free is actually higher in sodium than the full fat. You can easily Google that. A little research first please. How on earth does this have high reviews?

The recipes are either not complete or have incredible typo’s in them.Recipe 21 Mac n Cheese Cauliflower includes a step in the directions to add chicken. There is no chicken listed in ingredients. It continues with “place steaks in 1tsp oil”. What? There are no steaks nor chicken in this Mac n Cheese.Recipe 50 Pork Chops and White beans has directions to “add tomatoes along with herbs”. There are no tomatoes listed in ingredients.I am looking for recipe to cook for this evening but feel like I cannot trust the recipes.
