This is a great addition for DMs wanting more treasure to throw at people. It gives you other ideas for market places and items that could be in there. I know a lot of people were disappointed with this but, I see the potential for creativity with the ideas it throws your way.

Good book. The shops were helpful to have and great for those who want to show that not every town has what you want.

It was in great shape but not what I was looking for. I play Pathfinder rules but I play in the Forgotten Realms game setting. If someone is playing in the Pathfinder game setting I think this book could add some good flavor.

I believe there are 14 shops/shopkeepers described in this Player Companion. Each one is intriguing, yet not fully fleshed out--for those of us who enjoy being GMs, that is a good thing. We are given a location, generalities in each shopkeepers background or personality and specialty items found in each shop.I particularly enjoyed the one in Cheliax...great Bardic Masterpiece available there--Vindictive Soliluquy (or Tempestuous Aria, depending on how your Bard performs...) will literally add some thunder to any bard's game.The art was subpar, from what I have begun to expect from Paizo's books, but the rest is worth the $12.99 regular retail price, in my opinion.

I needed a map that would serve as a back up if the GPS failed us. As our first road, we don't want to be left stranded and get lost, so we ordered this map. This map comes with great detail and useful tools to determine mileage and time. Highly recommend for any travelers needing a trustworthy map.Only drawback is that the map is huge, so a person might need to make a stop to look through it. The map covers a good portion of the front windshield.

Maps are going the way of the record player, news papers and dial telephones. Stopped in a super sized gas station/truck stop in North Florida ( the gate way for millions of tourists annually) and could not find a map anywhere in the place. The guy at the cash register said they stopped selling them years ago! Everyone uses GPS. The books stores have a few local fold out maps but mostly guide books. Obviously I'm not making the media transition very gracefully. Guess that makes me a technology fossil....I prefer the bigger view and information charts provided by a huge, printed, fold out map to the microscopic, telescoping view on a minuscule screen that more often than not is consistently wrong enough to earn my distrust. Besides, they don't disappear when the signal for my cell phone says "out of area". So, thank you Amazon and Rand McNally for keeping cartography,as I learned it, undated, accurate and available.

Half of California is on one side, the rest on the other, split right across the area we were traveling South of San Francisco. This is an oversized map, and Rand-McNally has a good reputation, so I was expecting the larger size indicated more detail. That is unfortunately not the case and most of the added space is what the computer guys term "white space"; i.e., nothing in it. Moreover, the larger size makes the map more awkward to use in a car, especially when you need to flip between the front and the back. We were tracking missions in the area and ended up relying on an older, smaller, and out of date map we had along from a previous trip. In comparison, our older map had all of California on one side and had more detail.

Large print and easy to read. We have the GPS but it's nice to have a paper map to see the alternate routes and places in the areas. As Rand McNally maps do, distances are shown between cities and turn-offs. We do not travel without paper maps.

This series of Rand McNally Maps are the best road maps in my opinion. They are bigger than most other maps, especially the ones given out by state highway departments at rest stops. This of course makes the map easier to read and allows these maps to have more detail and include more of the smaller roads. Plus, look how many enlarged detail maps of cities are included, these maps include detail maps of medium size cities left off of other maps and atlases.

I'm good with folding maps, but the crisp paper this one is printed on is very easily torn. Not the best for a car trip!

I grew up using maps, since I enjoy the outdoors quite well. My boyfriend decided we needed a new map for our fishing trip. He has never used a map, and with the ease of this map, he was able to learn the ins and outs of using a map. He was also able to find directions to a place we were searching to go.

I am a roadmap collector and recently bought the RandMcNally maps for all 50 states, plus a US Interstate map. I like the large scale used and helps considering my vision is less than ideal. I also use these maps to supplement the official maps that I also have for the entire country

The author discusses the interest rate system and the migration of loans from state to household that is occurring. The author also discusses how the investment led growth led to a degradation of the environment and the subsidies on energy for investment led to unbalanced use of commodities and negative externalities in the form of pollution and overinvestment. The author discusses how there is a central government desire to reorient the economy but a provincial level civil unrest risk that comes with layoffs in heavy industries. Demographics are covered and the reader gets a history of the one-child policy and the views on human capital that the party took over the years. This has most recently been relaxed but the author discusses the low fertility rates despite this as the cost of living has gone up. The consumer economy is also discussed and the author gives context to the heavy investment that has taken place. The author discusses the capital stock/GDP ratio of China and the US and how high investment share of GDP is to be expected. The author does also reiterate that the high investment share is unsustainable and the recent boom has created imbalances but the starting point was such that claims of under-consumption are out of context. The author discusses inequality and corruption and the political economy of the growth. He discusses the reasons for the recent crackdown on corruption executed under Xi Xinping. In particular the author highlights how the growth model of heavy investment to fuel growth led to easy opportunity to skim from the political elite- the value of such a strategy was positive despite its impact on the social contract of the people and the party in the early stages but at this point it is fuelling inefficiency. China's Gini coefficient has risen massively as wealth was transferred from rural to urban as housing was privatized and the political class capitalized on public spending. As a result of the declining productivity of capital investment the willingness to tolerate corruption has become much lower as it is counterproductive now. This leads the author to discuss the growth model and its need for change.China's economy is of central importance to global growth and has been the largest contributor for some time. Its economy is often misunderstood and criticisms of policy are often a way for those criticizing to avoid self reflection. Shows how the four rulers since Mao have dramatically changed his failed policies; how China's government has promise while Russia's doesn't. The best part of the book is the exhaustive documentation and research, and the honesty about what information is available and what is not. This book is dense, but a revelation in every chapter. This book will also give you hope that a country of 320 million can be run better if a country of 1.4 billion can be run at all! Not a quick read but worth every sentence. Just visited China for two weeks, and the book was even better than the visit!
